Text Box: While the Architectural Design & Environmental Engineering Technology programs have historically included curriculum elements related to an environmental consciousness, these underpinnings of responsible design are now highlighted due to the recent focus on the "green" and "sustainable" movement towards cultural change in terms of how we plan for our resources and environment.
The Programs’ curricula embeds the many elements of sustainable stewardship and can broaden workforce opportunities for students who are planning a career in design, community managing and planning, construction, or facilities operations.
These elements include concepts of sustainable communities, cultural behavior and lifestyles, planning and design, and how buildings "work" and are prevalent in the course materials of the core curriculum.
